INFANTS - 6 weeks to 1 year "Banana Babies"
This is a crucial stage of development. At this stage, children need to be nurtured, held, fed, changed, communicated with, and entertained. To stimulate brain development, activities are focused on language, physical, social, and cognitive development. Such activities are designed to meet the individual developmental needs of your infant. Daily informative sheets are kept in a binder for parents to keep up to date on their child's progress and pertinent information on the child's development. Parents will be able to take home a daily progress report on their child's routine at the center. |
TODDLERS - 1 to 2 Years "Terrific Toddlers"
Children ages one to two follow a scheduled activity plan that promotes learning and discovery. Age appropriate toys, games, music, reading, educational videos, language arts, etc. are promoted in the classroom to stimulate development and prepare children for the two year old program. Pertinent documented information on your child's progress is available to parents on a daily basis |
2 Year Olds "Care Bears"
What can we say! This age is interesting for the young and for those of us trying to figure out who came up with the saying, "the terrible two's"? Children at this age are learning to communicate and showing adults who's in charge! Your child will be guided through programs that will promote their language, physical, social , and emotional development. Your child will be guided through the initial stages of toilet training at the center along with the parent's training at home. Children will learn by discovery, crawling, and climbing. Playing with other children and the word mine will be a big part of their routine. Teachers will work with this age group preparing them for the next age group by engaging them in various group activities. Such activities include: pre-reading, writing skills, music, cooking and projects. Advanced two's will be able to work on academic programs on the computer. A weekly progress form will be sent home for parent's to read about their child's progress. |
3,4,5 Year Olds "Three Musketeers & Fabulous 4/5's"
This age group learns best through structured play and active hands on involvement with learning materials. There will be areas in the room where the child can explore activities. All the children will participate in the pre-school learning program. They will also be exposed to cooking, art, music, computer, nutrition, health, hygiene, individual and group problem solving, board and team games, outdoor activities, field trips, special guests, and much more activities. Each classroom will have their own monthly calendar of activities to participate. Monthly progress reports will be given to parents to keep them informed of their child's progress. |
Pre-School
Children from two to five years of age participate in our pre-school program. The pre-school program begins at 9:30 until 11:30a.m. Pre-school is important for your child to attend as the morning session is crucial for academics. The afternoon session is hectic to focus on the curriculum for the day because the children begin to leave. The teachers will continue to reinforce academics and structured play throughout the day. We recognize that each child has different interests and abilities. We will devise programs with these differences in mind. The educators of "Le Bunnies" will have a pre-approved curriculum for their age group they teach. Our curriculum will focus on developmental appropriate activities based on the works of these early childhood developmental theorists such as Piaget, Gardner, Erickson, etc. The curriculum will include developmentally appropriate activities that adhere to National Accreditation of Early Young Children guidelines. The curriculum clearly states learning objectives to help facilitate learning in all domains. The areas of development that teachers will incorporate into their lesson plan focus on the child's gross and fine motor skills, language, cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and creative development. We also incorporate into our curriculum a program that introduces children
to math through the power of music at a young age. Music is known to simulate creativity, accelerate learning, and enhance intelligence.
Our Pre-Kindergarten program is designed to provide a wide range of experiences which will form the basis of future learning in all areas of the elementary school curriculum. All curriculum for the three to five year old program is based on the Illinois Board of Education Learning Standards.
We provide transportation to local public schools for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs. |
Youth Program - 6 to 12 Years "Amazing Blazing Rugrats"
We offer before and after school care for children during the school year. Transportation is provided to various schools in the community. Before school children are provided with breakfast if they arrive before 7:30 a.m. After school snack is provided upon arrival from school. Games, computers, music, and other activities await for your older child to have fun while you are at work. Children will be given time to work on homework. Activities are planned through out the week to keep your child's interest. "Le Bunnies" provides lunch and activities when children are out of school or have a half day of school. We allow a little more independence of this age group than the other children because we understand that children at this age do not want to be associated with a day care center. Summer Camp is provided and explained in the Summer program. |
Kid-Fit Fitness program for all ages
Kids may not be getting the proper exercise and their eating habits may be poor. This program encourages them to move, make healthier food choices and stimulates the brain which is very important with learning. It is important to have a fun physical fitness program to implement into the children's day. The children enjoy it and look forward to always doing something fun.
